Nursery - Sapphire Class

Our Nursery Sessions 🌟
Nursery is open Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 3:15pm, offering families flexible options to suit their needs.
Parents can choose:
-
15 funded hours: Morning sessions, 9:00am – 12:00pm
-
30 funded hours: Full-day sessions, 9:00am – 3:15pm
Our Unique Offer
Rather than finishing at 3:00pm, we are delighted to offer our full nursery day 9:00am – 3:15pm at no additional charge.
We have designed our sessions to fit seamlessly with the St John’s school day, making childcare more convenient and helping to make the cost of Nursery more affordable for families.
If your child is accessing 15 funded hours but you would like them to attend full days, you can top up your funded hours at £7 per additional hour.
Lunch
Children can either bring a packed lunch from home or parents can purchase a school dinner.
Wraparound Care
If you require childcare before 9:00am or after 3:15pm, please visit our Breakfast & After-School Club (B&A Club) page for further information.
Meet the Nursery Team 🌟
Sapphire class is taught by Mrs Crossley and Miss Earle, with support from Miss Harrison. Together, we work as a team to provide a warm, nurturing and exciting environment where our youngest children can learn, play and grow.
Hi, I’m Mrs Crossley!
I have been teaching at St John’s for the past 13 years and am the school’s EYFS Lead. I have a real passion for early years education and absolutely love working in the EYFS!
I am also the Assistant Headteacher and RWI Phonics Lead, so you will see me working across both school sites.
In Nursery, I work at the beginning of the week alongside Miss Harrison, creating lots of opportunities for children to explore, develop their independence and experience awe and wonder as they learn and grow together.
I have two children of my own and, when I’m not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family.
Miss Earle is also an experienced EYFS practitioner works in Nursery towards the end of the week, supported by Miss Harrison. Together, we ensure that the children experience consistency, care and exciting learning opportunities throughout their time in Nursery.
