Two-Year-Old Provision at St John's Primary School

We are open! 🌟

In December 2025, we submitted an application to our Local Authority to establish a dedicated two-year-old provision, Little Stars.

Fast forward to September 2026, and what was once an exciting idea has become a reality! Our extension has been built, the walls have been painted, the furniture and resources are in place, and we now have a beautiful, welcoming setting filled with happy little children.

Our Sessions

Little Stars is open 9:00am – 3:15pm and offers both 15 and 30 funded hours.

Parents can choose the sessions and days that best suit their family:

• Morning sessions: 9:00am – 12:00pm

• Full-day sessions: 9:00am – 3:15pm

Funded hours are provided through government funding. Additional hours can be purchased at £9.50 per hour.

Lunch is available for an additional charge, or children are welcome to bring a packed lunch from home.

A Home-from-Home Environment

Our Little Stars unit has been thoughtfully designed with our youngest children in mind. We have dedicated sleep and rest facilities, as well as nappy-changing facilities, providing children with a safe, comfortable and nurturing environment throughout their day.

We are incredibly proud of how far Little Stars has come and are excited to begin this new chapter with our families.
